Snake Island at El Nido, Palawan

     THE NEXT DESTINATION OF MAJESTIC VOYAGE is untouched oasis of sand and sea, a very popular island in El Nido with a long sandbar that connect it to the mainland of Palawan. This Island is concealed in one corner of Bacuit Bay that has local name of Vigan Island but it was famous in the name of Snake Island. The sandpit of this island is made of fine white sand that made the view of Snake Island majestic.

     It was called Snake island because of it naturally S-shaped sandbar that made it more popular beach destination in El Nido where most tourist look forward to visit. The curving shape of sand bar in that island is undoubtedly the main reason why it excite tourist or travellers and because it is surrounded by the crystal clear azure water. The S-shaped sandbar can only be seen during low tide in the island but tourists can walk into the entire sandbar when the water is below the knee which gives illusion that you are walking on the water.

     Sandbar is not only the attraction that this place offers, it also offers a 360-degree view of the ocean and its surrounding islands as well, you just have to hike to the top of the island's viewing platform to see the majestic sandbar.

How to get there
     From Manila, fly to Puerto Princesa. To get to El Nido, take a Roro bus to El Nido (P380, 6-7 hours). Vans are also available. From El Nido Poblacion, take TOUR B, which makes a stop at Snake Island (P1300/person).
